Success Story  :

Pandit Badri Prasad Tiwari is 56 years old whose right leg has been amputated in an accident. Some period after the accident he realised that his position in family and society has gone down perceptibly. from a bread earner, he has been reduced to a dependent.

Later he come to DDRC Rewa, where our engineer Mukul kishor made a beautiful prosthetics for him that made him not only walk but ride a cycle and go up and down stairs. This has made him independent , and improved his self image and prestige. He is so nicely rehabilitated that no one was able to judge his disability, when he came and garlanded the local MLA Shri. Rajendra Shukla at a function.

DDRC has been conceived as fitment centre by Dr. Sajjan Singh in year 1992. The activities are continuing since then. In 2002 full-fledged DDRC was inaugurated with its own building.

District Disability Rehabilitation Center is an institution of Ministry of Social justice and empowerment Government of India. In Rewa  D.D.R.C. is being operated by Red Cross Society.

D.D.R.C. Rewa has a  team of devoted technical persons and volunteers from Red Cross Society Rewa, Who are offering services to disabled / handicapped persons in every possible way. The controlling body is district management team, whose chairman is Collector  and Secretary is The Secretary of Red Cross Society.
